NICU Hospital for my journeyNorthwestern
My NICU Graduate's JourneyMcKinley was born almost months early on August 27th. I had a high risk pregnancy I had to stay on the hospital weeks at a time during my pregnancy. My doctors was concerned about McKinley being able to breathe on his own and have a normal life if he was to be born early. I was provided with the best care at northwestern hospital for my son and I.
What makes you proud of you NICU graduate? When McKinley was born it was so many concerns if he will have a normal life. I am so thankful for listening to my doctors why I was pregnant my doctors decided that I should get a steroid injection to help improve McKinley chance of having a normal life. McKinley spent 3 months in the nicu. We had a long recovery ahead of us with all the doctors appointments and check ups. McKinley is now almost 3years thriving at daycare. McKinley know how to count, he is learning Spanish, and potty training. I am so proud of his journey.
