My NICU Graduate's Journey
Jeremiah was born at 29 weeks after my water broke 4 weeks before. He was born the day before my birthday after being on bedrest in the hospital. He was born with a heart defect and had his 1st surgery days after being born. He was in the hospital a little over 2 months. He had to figure out how to breath while he was eating, but he finally got it. He is a rainbow baby and worth waiting for. After months of PT and OT he is in great health. He does go yearly to his CHKD Cardiologist Dr. Vance who is wonderful. I was very pleased and comfortable leaving him at the hospital with their nursing staff.

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
He had a rocky beginning because he was born so early. He is in his school band and the high school marching band. He play the trumpet and self taught himself the clarinet!! He also ran track for the high school while he was in 7th grade. He ran hurdles!!!! He helps out in anyway he can at home and out. He is a sweetheart to everyone .
