NICU Hospital for my journeySt. Davids North Austin
My NICU Graduate's JourneyRemy was born in June 2023, at 24 weeks and 5 days gestation. After he was born, Remy was immediately put on a ventilator as he could not breathe by himself and he had a feeding tube as well as a PICC line and other IVs. We weren’t able to hold our son for the first two weeks of his life. He was only 1 lb 13 ounces at birth. Remy was in the NICU for 135 days; during that time he showed us and everyone at the hospital what a strong little boy he is.
Since being home, Remy has grown exponentially and is eager to explore the world around him. He has bonded with his older fur-siblings (Kaia (dog) and Rivers(cat)) and gets excited every time he sees them. He has had to overcome immense struggles in such a short time on this earth- but now he gets to enjoy life and show everyone what a sweet, fun kid he is. We are so proud of him! ❤️❤️
