My NICU Graduate's Journey
My son Kaesyn was born at 25 weeks gestation. He weighed 2.1lbs and was 14.5 inches long. He battled many things while in NICU. He had multiple blood transfusions, brain bleeds, holes in his heart, he got MRSA, he almost died 3 separate times. He suffered from congested heart failure just weeks before his release date which then extended his stay. He was born March 24th and released June 20th 2010.

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
He is the strongest, kindest, most loving, caring human being I have ever known. He never gives up no matter how difficult the struggle and he does it with a smile on his face. He makes people around him laugh, and feel loved. I am proud of the handsome 14 year old boy he has grown into!
