My NICU Graduate's Journey
Isabelle was born by emergency c-section with severe interuterine growth restriction at 28 weeks. She weighed 710 grams or 1lb 9oz at birth. She spent 3 months in the NICU on oxygen but came off of it 3 days before she came home. Isabelle has grown into a wonderful young lady. She beat a lot of odds and came out of the NICU with no major health issues. Growing up she could always be found getting into mischief with her older brother and having a blast. Isabelle was speech delayed but soon caught up with early intervention. While she has struggled with learning disabilities, she has also learned that she is not defined by them. She is now a Sophomore in high school. She loves photography, wildlife, and spending time in nature.

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
I am so proud of Isabelle when I see her helping others. She has such a kind heart and lights up whenever she can make a difference in someone's life. She was born with a fiery spirit and is a true blessing in our lives.
