My NICU Graduate's Journey
My Twins were born 8 weeks early weighing 3 lbs each , Kenadie was in for 36 days she was on a Cpap and had many hospital stays her early years due to Reactive airway disease , Kaitlin was In for 25 days and was a slower developer and was diagnosed with Autism at the age of 4 , she went through speech therapy the Early on program and both are now Freshmen in High School. I didn’t get to hold them for the first 3 days of life and remember an amazing NICU nurse told me someday I’d look back on their stay and it would just be a memory - and she was so right !!! I’m amazed at their journey and am so proud of the strides they have made !!

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
I’m proud of every milestone they have overcome - being autistic with sensory disorders and developmental delays to being a freshmen in highschool !!!
