My NICU Graduate's Journey
This is my baby girl Hallie! She was born in January 2023 and completed our family! At just 4 days old, something did not seem right so we called 911 and within minutes of our arrival, our sweet Hallie went into cardiac arrest. The days that followed were full of unknowns and a horrible prognosis due to the brain injury she suffered from the arrest. Hallie then spent the next 8 months in the cardiac ICU at Children’s. She received a heart transplant on 8/25/23, graduated from the ICU on 10/10/23 and was finally able to come home on 11/09/23. We are eternally grateful for the CICU staff who played a huge role in saving our baby girls life and especially to the family who chose to donate life. Hallie is the happiest little girl with so much drive and resilience and we can’t wait to see her continue to blossom!

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
So many things! Hallie has shown me strength, resilience, hope, love, and all the in between! What I am most proud of is being Hallie’s mom and advocate. It’s the most rewarding experience of my life!
