My NICU Graduate's Journey
My daughter and her twin brother were born at 23 weeks gestation. They both weighed just under 1 lb 2 oz and were 11.5 inches long. They were given a 30% chance of survival and a 90% chance of a major disability. My son passed away when he was just 31 days old. My daughter came home after 105 days and lives her life in a way that will always honor and remember him.

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
Olivia is an overcomer. I'd never met a child that had such a zest and joy for life. She is kind, caring, creative and empathetic. Olivia has autism and some developmental delays, but she has handled every single obstacle thrown her way in life. She has truly been a fighter since day one and I'm so proud of who she is.
