My NICU Graduate's Journey
Addison, Addi for short, was born 6 weeks early due to severe preeclampsia. Coming into this world so early her stay in the NICU was a given. She rocked through her milestones one at a time. It was such a relief and celebration when she was able to get off of oxygen and breathe on her own, then next came feeding, and before I knew it she was ready to go. My most memorable moment from her NICU stay was her first bath. She was so precious all wrapped up, even with a feeding tube in her nose. The nurses handled everything with care and helped me to feel confident and knowledgeable taking her home.

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
Addi is a force to be reckoned with! She’s got spunk, charisma, passion, personality, and flare. She has come so far and will be graduating Kindergarten this year! I’m proud that she doesn’t let anything get in her way and she is always looking to be a helper. I expect great things from her in the future.
