NICU Hospital for my journeyDell Children’s Medical Center
My NICU Graduate's JourneyMy daughter was born 10 weeks early, in what was considered a home birth (we were staying at a hotel that night). Her first ride was in an ambulance from Luling to Kyle Hospital at about 30 minutes old! She was held skin to skin for that 45 minutes and, as I was admitted to Kyle for recovery, she went on to Dell as soon as they had space ready for her. She was perfectly healthy, just tiny at 3lbs 2 oz and needed to learn how to bottle feed. She received the most amazing care and was known as the “hotel baby” for her first week or so. She is amazingly smart and healthy and I credit that to her amazing NICU care right from the beginning.
What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?Everything about her makes me so proud. She is smart, funny, creative, and fun loving!
