My NICU Graduate's Journey
Ashton was born weighing 1.8 he lived at UK for the first 6 months of his life. Once he reached birth weight or 6 lbs he was then flown to Rockcastle Regional Hospital where he lived until the age of 2. Ashton went through multiple surgeries including having a trachea inserted. After 2 long years Ashton was able to come home. He is currently 8 yrs old and lives the life of a normal little boy. We still have a few health issues but God has never left our side.

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
I’m proud of my child because he overcame everything that was set in stone to fail him. He can walk, talk, and breathe on his own
