My NICU Graduate's Journey
Mychal was born 11 weeks early. He weighed 2lbs 11oz and was 21 inches long. He stayed at Dayton Children’s for 55 days. My baby was a true fighter. We almost lost him when his appendix ruptured at 4 years old, he had to have his gallbladder removed, then a few months later he had a small bowel obstruction. Mychal is now a high school graduate with honors.

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
I am extremely proud of his accomplishments. Although he had some challenges and setbacks, he survived them all and graduated with honors.
