My NICU Graduate's Journey
Landon was in the NICU for 8 days after birth due to Spina bifida. He had spinal closure surgery at less than 24 hours old. He returned 2 weeks later to have a vp shunt placed in his brain due to hydrocephalus. Over his almost 12 years of life, he has had almost 2 dozen surgeries including multiple brain surgeries. He is on the track to have bilateral at the knee amputations to imrpove his quality of life. He is such a strong and happy boy.

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
He faces the world head on, regardless of how people treat him. He faces many challenges but still manages to be happy and make the most of life.
