My NICU Graduate's Journey
Being born at 22w2d gestation Percival spent 169 days in the NICU. He had his PDA closed surgically at 800g of weight, the smallest possible for the surgery. He grew slowly with a few set backs but his NICU team had so much experience with 22 weekers that he thrived over all.
He was discharged on oxygen and had a feeding tube for a few months. The last 5 years he has caught up from his delays getting therapies and early intervention. He is now an active, inquisitive preschooler excited to explore the world.

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
Percival is a positive ray of pure sunshine. He is excited to learn, explore and greet each day as an adventure. I am proud of his perseverance.
