My NICU Graduate's Journey
Magnolia was born at 27 weeks gestation. At birth Magnolia weighed 1 pound 3.8 ounces and was 12 inches long. Magnolia was in the NICU for 111 days.

Magnolia’s feisty personality is what she was known for in the NICU and she knew just how to get attention by setting her monitors off. While in the NICU Magnolia battled a brain bleed and her lungs hemorrhaged. Magnolia was on respiratory support for over 45 days.

Magnolia loved kangarooing with family while she was in the NICU and loved to be held in general.

Magnolia was a trend setter in the NICU. One of the night nurses made her a bow to Velcro to her CPAP. Once mama saw the bow she had bows for every color and every Cleveland sports team playing. Other mama's jumped on the trend and we had a NICU of little girls rocking bows in the NICU.


What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
I’m so proud of my strong, smart, and beautiful three year old girl. Magnolia overcame all the obstacles in her way. My tiny little firecracker who wasn’t even on a growth chart when she was born and just following her own curve to now on the chart and thriving.
