My NICU Graduate's JourneyInfinite was born by emergency C-section on 1/2/2022. She was 3lbs 14 oz. Infinite was born unresponsive, she was resuscitated and rushed to the NICU where they performed tests and discovered she was having seizures. Infinite was then diagnosed with severe Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE) a large amount of her brain was damaged during labor and delivery, a mild heart condition which healed on its own, microcephaly and later with Cerebral Palsy, she spent a total of 28 days in the NICU. Infinite is currently in 5 types of therapies (OT, PT, Feeding therapy, Play therapy and Speech). Infinite is happy and thriving with the love and support of her family.
What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?I am proud if Infinite because in spite of all she's been through all her frustrations, her pain, her medications, her many doctors and therapy appointments she manages to smile, to laugh, to bring joy to others and she's taught others to be kind, empathetic and patient. She's been an inspiration to so people.
