My NICU Graduate's Journey
It was a very scary journey for us. I (mom) had to be In the hospital for a month due to gestational diabetes and when we went for Alastair’s ultrasound we had the devastating news our little guy would not make it to full term and i (mom) was so upset about it my little guy was due at the end of September but he was born in July two months early he spent those two months in the nicu our little fighter did so well that the nurses called him the favorite patient. He was such a trooper with all the probing and tests needed. We thought we wouldn’t make it but here we are now at almost a year and he is perfectly healthy and happy.

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
I am proud because even though mommy wasn’t with me most nights, I was scared and confused why i was not in mommy’s tummy anymore. I still was fighting, thriving and getting bigger and stronger everyday.
So that i could be cleared to go home with mommy and get all the cuddles I needed. Now I’m big and strong and getting all the cuddles from mommy and my family.
