My NICU Graduate's Journey
Laurel spent 20 days in the NICU after being flown to Cooks at 9 days old. Her diagnosis was unknown but she had severe gastrointestinal issues and could not keep any food down. She had her first surgery at 2 weeks old. She then started growing by leaps and bounds.
After her 4th birthday she started having similar issues and she then required a second surgery.
Now she is graduating kindergarten, happy and healthy! She loves soccer and dance and is a leader in everything she does.
