My NICU Graduate's Journey
Tahj was was 4 days after my water broke. I had an risk pregnancy. When I went into labor I didn't even know he was coming. I just was in so much pain. I had him at 7 months. He weighed 3 pounds and 13 ounces at birth. Once I had him the doctors and nursing rushed him to NICU. He was able to breathe on his on. He was under weight , he had to get out on medicine and machines to help him develop. He stayed in the hospital for a month. I prayed day and night. I wasn't able to have kids and God performed a miracle twice for me. He pulled Tahj through and he made me a mother. Tahj is my first child, I'm a first time mother. Because Tahj was premature he has to see specialist to make sure he is developing properly. So far he is doing great, praise God. Tahj has breathing issues, he was diagnosed with bronchitis. He has to use an nebulizer every four hours. Tahj will be 6 months old on the 8th.

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
I'm so proud of Tahj because he fought his way to victory. He was so tough throughout the process of being in the Nicu unit. Every one was going home from the nicu unit except Tahj. I started to worry but God turn the situation around for both of us. He is rolling over and letting his head. He loves to watch tv. Mickey Mouse.
