My NICU Graduate's Journey
I ruptured at 19 wks and was on bed rest with him until emergency c-section at 26 weeks…he was, 1 lb 8oz & 11 inches at birth. 137 days in NICU.
Came home on supplemental oxygen and a G-tube button. Off oxygen and still has g-tube which we use at night only now. Just shy of 30 lbs and turned 3 yrs old recently. So still small for his age.
He’s doing well overall… great personality and I must say he’s really cute too. All smiles most of the time :) we love him to pieces and are forever thankful for all the Dr.’s and nurses at St David’s North. To include his primary nurse Natasha who was with him from day one until discharge. She was amazing! <3

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
How many milestones he has met and overcome. His NICU stay was a rollercoaster ride with being sick and pneumonia, but he’s been pretty healthy since home thankfully :) he is stronger than I could ever imagine.
