My NICU Graduate's Journey
Alina was born at 31 weeks emergency c section, she was starving me to death. When you're in that situation laying on the operating table thinking is she going be okay, once you hear the cries I was at ease. Unfortunately due to her being 31 weeks, she had to spend just about a month in the NICU. Alina was on caffeine shots trying to ween off was the issue. She also suffered from sleep apnea and had to be sent home with a device to alert us when she stops breathing. Throughout the whole time in the NICU the nurses become family since most of the time your there. In the end, Alina is a healthy going to be 8 year old with no issues from being born so early!

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
She is a firecracker! Alina tries anything at least once. She loves cheer and gymnastic gives it her all. She has over come alot since NICU days.
