NICU Hospital for my journeyMcGee Women's Hospital
My NICU Graduate's JourneyAnnabelle decided that she wanted to grace us with her presence just before Thanksgiving instead of after the New Year. She was only 4 lbs 8oz when she was born at 32 weeks. It was an emergency C-section due to a placental abruption. She spent 26 days in the NICU learning to eat on her own and struggling to regulate her heart rate. She did a fantastic job and had minimal complications. She came home with us just before Christmas. She struggled to hit some of her milestones and didn't walk until 18 months, but other than that, she has had no issues. She is in the top of her class, loves acting, art, and basketball. We moved to a new state in 2020 and she has made a great group of friends. She enjoys being a big sister and has just recently taken courses to become a babysitter and is CPR certified. She will be graduating 5th grade this May.
What makes you proud of you NICU graduate? She is so determined in all she does and always wants to prove to herself and others that she can accomplish anything.
