My NICU Graduate's Journey
Harmony was born at 24+1 from complications with fibroids. During her 5 month & 2 days stay, she got an infection & had a battle with sepsis. She had an ileostomy/reversal & laser eye surgery for ROP at Detroit Children's Hospital. Harmony went to Physical, Occupational, & Speech therapy in her 1st year. She started wearing glasses before she turned 2 & was later diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy.

Despite Harmony's mild lack of balance, she still enjoys all the 9 yr old things! She's very helpful & independent. Harmony is also an affectionate & very funny little girl!

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
I'm very proud of Harmony's small but, mighty accomplishments. As a result to her CP, she has a hard time bending & moving her legs. With OT & practicing on her trampoline, she now knows how to jump & hop on 1 foot!
