My NICU Graduate's Journey
Kaleb was born at 27 weeks, he was 1lb and 10 oz. He was given a 5% chance of survival. Born with one working kidney and had 3 tumors on it. They did not think he would make it, but through world wide friends and family and people, we did not even know they started a prayer chain. When he was discharged 6 months later he was 10lbs 1oz and at his first appt at the kidney doctor, he looked at his new images and the three inoperable tumors disappeared and the one kidney took over as if he had two functioning. He is now finishing 8th grade. Our miracle boy!

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
His love for others. he has a gentle spirit and he is very creative. Somedays he can be a handful, but he is always thinking of others.
