My NICU Graduate's Journey
Elias was born at 28 weeks abd went into Cardiac arrest at just 4 days old which led to HIE. He battled through NEC, Septic Shock, ROP, Chronic lung disease, bilateral IVHs, A bleed in his cerebellum, and PVL. He will be 4 years old this June and continues each day to show us what a survivor he is. He has Cerebral Palsy and he battles with multiple other health complexities as a result of his prematurity, but he never lets anything stop his determination. He loves music and looking at books. He has the brightest smile and he keeps everyone that knows him laughing with his adorable spunk and sassy antics.

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
Everything he does, he has to work so much harder to achieve than most typical children. Despite all he has been through with his health and hospitalizations, his resilience is astounding. I am so proud of his strength and perseverance.
