My NICU Graduate's Journey
Evelyn has been a fighter from the start. Being born at 30 weeks at 3 lbs 2 oz, she has fought the odds from the start. Evelyn’s mom’s water broke at 28 weeks and she was able to stay in utero for a whole 2 extra weeks. That was huge for her and completely shocked the doctors! She was born with a genetic heart condition called Prolong QT. From birth she has been on a beta blocker and receives regular ekgs. Despite Evelyn’s premature start and her heart condition, her ability to overcome her adversary has been remarkable. She is now just shy of 3 and is doing great! She loves all things Frozen and anything that requires her to be creative.

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
Her ability to persevere through the challenges prematurity has brought on and to do it filled with joy!
