My NICU Graduate's Journey
Wes was born at 23 weeks and spent 143 days in the NICU fighting prematurity, E. coli, lung disease, hernia, blood transfusions, pneumonia and everything since then thrown at a baby born that early. Without the help of his angels working in the hospital, we would not have our spunky, intelligent and monster jam loving 4 year old! Wes has defied all odds and his 1% chance of survival as well as cleared 8+ specialists (cardiology, ophthalmology, audiology, pulmonology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, immunology).

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
Wes defied all odds - he is so strong willed and determined. He’s the most stubborn person I’ve ever met and has the heart of a gentle lion.
