NICU Hospital for my journeyTampa Advent Health Hospital
My NICU Graduate's JourneyMy baby came early after I was already hospitalized for a week in another advent hospital. I got preeclampsia and my blood pressure wasn't being controlled with medication no more and was sent to Tampa Advent Health in an ambulance, couple of hours later my baby came by csection. I am disabled and with the surgery it was a traumatic experience, especially not being able to hold my baby nor see him immediately, once I was discharged my home was 3 hours away and no funds to stay near. I could only see my baby once a week. No parent should suffer being so long separated from their child but NICU staff were angels on our path. I was still dealing with my health but nothing mattered but being with my baby. I called every day multiple times at the NICU wishing I was there every day, cried every night, every second, but finally having him home was like I was able to breathe again, I am so thankful for the hospital and support from hands to hands have given with this journey!
What makes you proud of you NICU graduate? My baby showed me to be strong and anything can be accomplished even days being born, he was my light in my moment of darkness and my hope that everything would be okay.
