NICU Hospital for my journeySunrise Children’s Hospital
My NICU Graduate's JourneyMy son William was born at 29 weeks due to complications of eclampsia. I had seizures and an emergency c section was completed as a result. Will spent 7 weeks in the NICU with 2 blood transfusions and a surgery before he came home. He is now a perfectly healthy 22 year old man who just graduated from Wayne State College in Nebraska with a Bachelors in Sports management and a minor in Psychology. It’s a miracle we survived and not just that but thrived! I could not be more proud of my child’s journey from preemie to college graduate. I can’t wait to see what happens in his future! I hope his story gives hope to any preemie parents that are struggling.
What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?I am so proud of my son’s journey from preemie to a college graduate. It’s been a privilege to watch him survive and thrive!
