My NICU Graduate's Journey
I was born at 25 weeks from placenta abruptio with a 14% chance of survival. I survived diseases and infections, NEC 3x’s, PDA, BPD, Collapsed lungs 44x’s. I lost all of my left toes due to gangrene, but I’m able to walk, drive my car, swim and run. As I was close to loosing my life a few times, I was able to muster all the strength within myself to fight for my life, no matter how small I was.

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
That there’s always light at the end of the tunnel, even though things can be grim at the beginning. I want to give back to the NICU team.
