My NICU Graduate's Journey
My little one was born at 1 pound 5 oz due to absent diastolic flow. I was told at 20 wks that she would be born early due to FGR (Fetal Growth Restriction) Iris fought a tough fight during her 3 months in the NICU. She overcame being sepsis from an infection, she got about 9-12 blood transfusions, and was intubated for about 2 out of the 3 months she was there. Iris is now 1 1/2 years old, 18 pounds, and has NO health issues whatsoever!!! She is a miracle and I am so proud to be her mommy!!

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
She overcame so much while being in the NICU and has always been so resilient. Her life started off rough but she has always been the same happy, strong, and determined baby.
