My dog is the coolest because...
Henry-or as we like to call him, "Henry the Handsome Healer", joined our family in 2019 from the Shawano County Humane Society when he was 10 weeks old. The minute I laid eyes on him, I knew he had to become a member of our family, and instantly knew his name would forever be Henry.
Henry is a perpetually happy dog with boundless amounts of energy and the constant desire to play. This adorable dog loves toys of all shapes and sizes although we suspect his favorite toy is his regulation sized basketball that he proudly carries with him when he is enjoying the outdoors. When he has managed to nudge all of his indoor toys and bones under a couch, he resorts to chasing his ever present tail, which he has never seemed to catch despite circling endlessly.
He has stayed true to his breed (although we think he may have a smidge of something else) as he is a smart, loyal, and energetic companion with an ear-to-ear smile if you find that sweet spot under his chin and nose.
Henry will be celebrating his 3rd birthday December 9th, which lands on the same day our son became an organ and tissue donor and saved a number of lives. Since then December 9th has been a celebration of new life, and Henry's birthday has made that day even more special to us.
This amazing pooch would love to serve proudly as Top Dog and have his face on a cool brew created by Pigeon River Brewing Company. Although Henry has not yet met the legal drinking age imposed by the State of WI, his human parents have, and would love to enjoy a beverage or two named just after him!
Henry, his parents, and sister were all surrendered to the humane society 2 days after Henry was born. Without the care and love shown by the Shawano County Humane Society employees and volunteers, we would have never found our Henry! Saying thank you to these dedicated people never seems to be enough.
