My dog is the coolest because...
Maisy was the best girl I ever could have asked for. She turned me into a Shih Tzu loving momma. She was my answer to prayer for a baby (God said no, but here is this puppy instead ;)) I always preferred the big dogs but Maisy showed me how huge a heart she had. She was a serious handful as a puppy and definitely kept me kn my toes! As she got older, her health problems continued to grow, until this past January we had to say goodbye at the young age of 9. She had a seizure disorder, anxiety, dry eye, Cushing's and finally Diabetes.
She was never trained or registered to be my emotional support dog, but she did it naturally. Whenever I was sad she would make her way over to me and ask for hugs.
She was 16 pounds and thought she was the most ferocious dog on the block. She had a hilarious bark/growl thing that she would do.
My brother-in-law wasn't a fan of dogs before her but she converted him (they now have 3 dogs! Lol!), she also turned my husband into a dog lover as well (He always preferred cats).
She hated car rides but loved to be with me. We went on many adventures together.
She was also a flower girl/bridesmaid in our wedding.
Losing her the beginning of 2022 was and is such a brutal blow. The emptiness of her not being here is so painful. However, I hold on to the fact that she is no longer in pain. She's waddling around up in heaven eating all the good nums and finding all the best napping spots. I love you and miss you my Maisy May.
