My dog is the coolest because...
Finnigan is 1 1/2 years old. He started life out rough. He was on streets of Louisiana, at 6 weeks old he was put into a shelter. The Hope Highway rescue went to Louisiana to rescue other dogs not knowing about him. They saw him and knew he had to make the trip to Wisconsin. So in July 2021 At 6 months old he was free of the shelter. He lived first 6 months of life in a shelter until coming to Wisconsin. We had just lost our 12 year old golden retriever just 4 months prior and were not looking for a new dog at that time. UNTIL his face graced Facebook. Fell in love. Went to meet him on Friday July 16 2021 and he has been part of the family ever since. He is the most gentle loving sole. We have a autistic 17 year old and Finn has to lick him when he feels my son is upset. Some experiences are still new to him but he is learning as he goes. Initially afraid of the car rides, he now loves to drop off at practices. He now even goes out ahead of my son and sits in the transport van for school until he gets on. Finn has a dog friend Arlo next door and sits on hill staring at their house waiting for Arlo to come outside. Then he takes the path and they play. This dog wasn’t saved. He saved us. He brings joy. I am very grateful for the team at the Hope Highway rescue for saving him and all the other dogs.
