My dog is the coolest because...
Ellie Mae, AKA Ellie or Elle-Belle is the most beautiful spirit. She came to us in March of 2021 from a rescue that got her from Kentucky. She had just had a litter of puppies and was pretty thin. Ellie likely had more than one litter in her life and has shown her mama instinces, as she loves to lay and groom our other dog.
We don't know how old she is for certain, but she is thought to be 2-4. She immediately showed us she loves her humans with all she has. We have found she also loves every human she meets and greets them in a calm, loving manner.
We don't know what her circumstances were before, and though she is naturally a calm dog her basic obedience was lacking. After she settled into our home and with her new dog brother, we got her enrolled in classes. She has shown great improvement and has gained new skills and confidence.
She loves going for walks, hunting for critters in the backyard, watching for critters out the front window, but most of all she loves snuggling her people on the couch. Ellie quickly falls asleep and snores adorably on your lap.
If Ellie had a theme song it would be "By Your Side" by Sade because, not only is she loyal and loving, we are also committed to staying by her side and doing what we need to do as owners to help her thrive.
