My dog is the coolest because...
Since December of 2020, Wilson has helped raise over 11,000 dollars for animal rescue. How? Well – his story. A story that has inspired his owners, the community, and strangers to partake in a mission to help raise funding for animals in need.
Wilson is a rescue dog who was brought up from Tennessee. His past is murky, although there was strong evidence that he came from a world where all he knew was trauma and neglect. Upon arrival to Wisconsin, Wilson had been adopted once and was promptly returned to the shelter, adding yet another hurdle to his already difficult and young life. When Wilson was adopted the second time by his now human comrades, he transformed from surviving to thriving, and inspired his human, Morgan, to do more for dogs like Wilson still waiting for their loving forever homes. Witnessing a “throwaway dog” find himself and gain confidence in simply existing was a humbling experience - all dogs should have safety and love.
Wilson is the proud CEO of a company named after him, called Wilson Candle Co. The mission is to raise funds for animal rescue, to give more dogs like Wilson a second chance at life. 30% of proceeds from every hand poured candle and product goes directly to animal rescues and shelters.
Since the establishment of Wilson Candle Co. in December 2020, over 11,000 dollars has been raised for animal rescues, benefiting such dog rescues as Saving Sully Dog Rescue, Diamond Dogs, and Sandi Paws.
Entering this competition is a way to spread his mission, raise more funds for animal rescue and subsequently save more lives. A vote for Wilson is a vote tenfold, as we spread his grassroots mission, we can continue to have a changing and everlasting effect long after the Top Dog competition has concluded. The company will continue to raise funding, and the more people that are exposed to the brand and Wilson’s story, the more impact that can be made.
Wilson is the face and the mascot of a mission. His face and videos on social media are watched by many, and have inspired change in people’s hearts. Whether that was inspiring adoption of another friend who needed a home, or by raising substantial funding to assist those in high-risk situations to be granted their freedom ride to Wisconsin, Wilson is to thank. Wilson's story of resilience means something.
By the end of 2021, our goal is to have raised 25,000 dollars for animal rescue. We believe this is possible.

Ultimately, we know no matter who ends as the victor in this amazing competition, change was made, funds were raised and people were inspired. That is what matters.
