My dog is the coolest because...
Brink was adopted into the family with the main goal that he be a companion and playmate to our female pittie. It was love at first site for them, since the moment they met they can be found roughhousing, lounging in the yard together, or making out on the couch. He’s even learned to alter his rough play style to be much gentler to entice our senior dog to play. It’s taken her years to learn how to play with toys and other dogs. He play bows and then stands still as she gums his neck with his tail just going like it’s the greatest game ever! It warms my heart every time I watch them.
Of course, Brink became so much more to us than just someone to occupy our other dog. He spends hours, day and night, at his watch post in the corner of the yard protecting the home from wild furry intruders. On walks he moves at a steady pace moving forward like a tank. He’s built like a brick, so when he launches himself onto someone’s lap we are required to yell, “Surprise Brinkley,” in response to the person saying, “Oohhhfff,” as he lands with 30 lbs of weight. He loves to console crying babies. He’s the most attentive of our dogs and always up for a play session or cuddle. He also gets cat called when on walks because of his short legs and Corgi butt, even though he is a Pug/French Bulldog mix. He’s the perfect baby boy.
