My dog is the coolest because...
He is a senior Chihuahua mix shelter dog who has impacted my life in countless ways. Alex is my family with his unconditional love and companionship. A few months before officially adopting Alex I had started volunteering at the Neenah Animal Shelter walking shelter dogs. I learned quickly that senior dogs are often overlooked especially senior Chihuahua dogs with an attitude. Alex and I bonded quickly at the shelter and little did I know that adopting Alex would change my life completely. Not only did he give purpose to my life he also provided me with inspiration to help many other shelter animals. Alex gives me a reason to get up each morning and face another challenging day. Even though he is almost 15 years old now and only has three teeth left he is always a happy little guy that only asks for my love and attention. Alex and I have been together for about 7 ½ years now and I can’t imagine life without him! He is a quirky senior dog who is loved by all that know him and is definitely my Top Dog!
