Meet Fred (aka Fredrick or Loki), the lovable and intelligent Belgian Malinois with a personality as big as his 73-pound frame! Born in December 2022, Loki is not just a pretty face—he’s a bundle of brains and charm, ready to make a fantastic addition to the right family.

Loki is a master of house training and kennel training. He’s so reliable that he heads straight to his kennel when asked—no fuss, no mess. His obedience skills are impressive, with commands like sit, down (lay), stand, stay (for about 30 seconds), come, and paw (shake) firmly under his belt. He even gives a polite paw and a gentle boop to your hand before diving into his meal, making sure you know he’s the goodest boy.

This energetic guy gets along splendidly with other large dogs and older children, but his high prey drive means he’s not a fan of cats, small dogs, or other tiny critters. Loki’s ideal home would have at least a 6-foot fenced yard or a secure tie to keep him safe and satisfied. He’s got a bit of a protective streak around his food bowl, so it’s best to let him enjoy his meals undisturbed. While he’s got a friendly nature, it might take him a little time to warm up to new canine friends.

Loki is a true outdoor enthusiast! He absolutely loves playing in the snow, chasing balls, and going for long hikes and walks. He’s a pro on the leash and will happily join you for all your outdoor adventures.
