My dog is the coolest because...
Church came into my life in March 2022, when a friend sent out a message saying him and his brother needed a new home. He was used to breed and his past owners decided they no longer needed him. My fiancé and I decided that we would foster him until he could find his forever family. When my other two pups met him, they both immediately fell in love with him. We brought him home the next day and decided that he wasn’t going anywhere, we were his forever.
We have been through our ups and downs in the short time that he came home. We realized just how bad his separation anxiety is when we crated him for the first time to go to lunch and he destroyed his crate, pooped all over the place and tore up the carpet trying to get out and find us.
As of late, Church has been going to work with his dad and learning what life is like as a diesel mechanic’s shop dog. He loves having the open yard to roam and being able to just chill with dad while he works. Nobody is a stranger for long, he is quick to greet and offer a slobbery “hello!” to anybody who walks through their door.
I couldn’t not imagine what life would be like without this 80 pound lap dog, who snores like no tomorrow, drools like a madman in the car and talks back with the attitude of a teenager. He loves everybody that he meets (although he is definitely a mama’s boy) and is simply a gentle giant looking for some snuggles.
Play some fetch and toss him some treats and you will forever be a friend to him.
