My dog is the coolest because...
Sybill is our 5 year-old Husky that we rescued from Texas a couple of years ago... but as the saying goes, "who really rescued who"? Sybill is our spunky, blue eyed, cross eyed babe that isn't afraid to speak her mind. In fact, we often know police cars or fire trucks are in the area long before we can hear them because Sybill's satellite dishes (a.k.a her ears) perk up and then she lets out some VERY long and loud howls when the cars are near. Maybe her true calling in life is to be a K9 or firehouse dog! Sybill loves to talk to us to tell us when its time for her to eat or when she is thirsty or wants to play or just simply wants attention... it really doesn't matter to us what her reason is because we love hearing her silliness!

Why did we name our dog Sybill, you ask? Well, let me tell you. She is named after a Harry Potter character, Sybill Trelawney, for two reasons: one, her human mom is a HP nerd and two, the actress that plays Sybill in the movies wears these glasses that make her eyes look bug-eyed and goofy. How completely fitting for our Sybill!

One of my favorite things about her is when she decides to show her love. Sybill is a super chill gal. Now, don't get me wrong, she has her moments of chaos and zoomies, especially when she is playing with doggie friends, but for the most part she is pretty laid back. She is friendly, although to most people she acts indifferent until she gets to know you. Then you get to experience her love. Her love includes long kisses, like to the point where you glance down at your watch because you are a busy person and have things to do but you don't want to disrupt the kisses because you know you've finally earned her love and trust and you don't want to hurt your furbaby's feelings. Sybill's love also includes *brief* moments of snuggling (like five minutes is considered a long time for her) and her standing on top of you until you give her enough pets that she is content enough to walk away. Sybill's love lasts as long as her attention span, which is brief, but her love is powerful. We feel honored anytime she shares her love with us.

So why is my dog the coolest? Because this beautiful girl has given my family so many wonderful memories, so many laughs, and so many moments of bliss. She is my dream come true and I am so glad that she has accepted me and my family as her own!
