My dog is the coolest because...
It is without a doubt that Cooper is the coolest NEW Top Dog! What makes him a Top Dog? The list is long, so let's start with his handsome looks. Cooper's tall, muscular physique, wavy brown hair and yellow-amber eyes stop people in their tracks. Dog lovers can't pass by without wanting to pet him and know his bread. No, he is not a Chocolate Lab.... He is a Chesapeake Bay Retriever! And he definitely knows how to work it with the ladies.

Cooper has a great, complex personality! He is loyal, protective family member yet polite to strangers that he meets. Cooper is serious when it's work-time and tenacious while on the pursuit of a hunt. He is head strong when he wants to get his way, and sulky when he doesn't. He is silly and funny when he wants to play and affectionate when he's ready to snuggle.

What else makes Cooper the coolest NEW Top Dog? He is very smart and athletic. Cooper is training to hunt birds using a few commands and whistle calls. He loves to track and flush birds and deer in the woods. His athleticism allows him to trounce through thick brush, corn, soy beans...whatever is in the way to pursue the hunt. It is so cool to watch him bound through the woods with such power and grace. He can break down trees and prefers to drag the BIGGEST branch in the woods all the way back to the house. Cooper's ginormous feet make him a relentless swimmer. Currently he swims to retrieve a bumper, but he definitely ready to get some birds!

When it comes to tricks, he can do all the basics, but our favorite is balancing a treat on his nose, tossing it up in the air and catching it. You could collect a bucketful of drool as he waits for the go ahead to snag the treat!

Cooper has all the traits it takes to be NEW Top Dog...looks, personality and brains. We are so lucky to have such a great companion and hunting buddy. He makes our family complete :)
