My dog is the coolest because...
Scout Jean Louise. Found in a parking lot as a possibly 10 week old pup, taken to LHS and fostered in a spectacular fail by yours truly. I brought her home and our pup Piper met me in the garage. She took one look at Scout and I swear she said "for me??" The two have been inseparable since. Why is Scout Jean Louise the coolest? She is a pure bred Labrador Retriever, the sports model size. She failed basic training 4 times, not because she is less than intelligent; she was just too busy living life to care. She refused to be potty trained, until she was good and ready. She jumps a 4 foot fence from a standing position with spectacular footing; we bought new fencing, she said "you are welcome". She barks with gusto when someone comes to visit and continues until they leave; she says it is because she wants the visitor to feel "seen and heard." She has chewed every flip flop that I own; she claims she is helping me with my fashion presentation. She removes one paper item from the office trash bin every day and puts it on the floor; she says it is my fault as I made her watch Marie Kondo and paper brings her joy. She brings me a toy every evening and demands that I tell her it is pretty; she says is to remind me that I should have fun. Why is Scout Jean Louise the coolest? She has taught me patience, forgiveness, how to laugh when I feel like crying and most importantly, I should play every day.
