My dog is the coolest because...
Piper Rose, the practically perfect porch puppy named Piper. Piper was born under a porch, surrendered to LHS with three of her litter mates. Piper's "dad" fell in love with the tiny pup at a LHS fund raiser. She was soon in his arms, he was crying and he asked his wife (me) what should we name her? Two years later, this long legged pup has brought so much to the family. She helped her sister Lucy work through her grief in losing her litter mate Ethel. She helped a foster pup named Scout find her way into the family. But Piper's biggest accomplishment was becoming a source of comfort during her "dad's" cancer treatment. She never left him when he was at home, often knowing when the pain was so bad that only a cuddle from his Piper Rose would do. Piper recently showed she has an amazing heart with foster pups. She was "auntie" to a little foster pup and showered that pup with attention and playtime. Anyone that has met Piper has commented on what a sweet girl she is and how beautiful her eyes are. We agree, you only need to look into her eyes and you see nothing but love.
