Why is your dog the coolest?
Leonard was the coolest dog. Leonard passed away 2 weeks ago at the age of 14+. He was found as a stray in Valders WI and was brought to Lakeshore humane society where i met him for the very first time as his groomer. He was pelted so tight it took hours to clean him up. Upon further inspection Leonard was missing one eye it had ruptured sometime before he was brought in and the matted hair was covering the mess that was once his eye. When leonard was cleaned up he was brought to the vet where they found he not only had a ruptured eye. But his jaw was completely shattered. Despite his challenges we decided to foster (foster fail) him and he was the best little dog ever. It took him sometime to settle in as he was in pain and not very trusting at first of new humans. At 11+ years old when he was found we arent sure of what his previous life was like but we knew we would love him till the very end. He became a door greeter for us at Lucky Paws Pet Boutique until he completely lost his vison in his good eye. Life without him has been hard. But he put sunshine in so many peoples lives. Giving him his final years of love was worth it. All shelter pets are worth it! Love and miss you my LenLen. ❤
