Alister came to the frozen tundra from North Carolina in 2018 after his mom became a flight attendant working long hours away from him. She sought a loving family that could look after him while teaching him about the finer points in life: football, cheese and beer. Naturally, she knew a Green Bay family was the obvious choice to bless with this adoption request. His first snowy winter was tough. At 7 pounds, this long-haired dachshund thought he could hold his own against the cold but the Arctic blasts of Wisco’s winters showed him otherwise. Now, at 11 years old, he’s armed himself with his knit grandpa sweater, complete with a pom pom hood. How could this sweet little old German hound not be the best face for a cold Green Bay beer? Three cheers for Alister’s Ale & raising enough money to give grandpa sweaters to every N.E.W. shelter pup this fall!
