Pet's Story
Presley is a rescue from SAFE in FL. When we adopted him in CT we didn’t know where he was from originally. Then we discovered that he was picked up roaming the streets and was put in a shelter in St Augustine, FL, just down the road from where my husband used to live! Then he was brought up to CT to another shelter, where we found him. It was meant to be. He loves playing ball in our yard, going for walks and car rides, and getting and giving hugs. He loves my son and excitedly welcomes him home every day when he gets off the bus. They are definitely buddies. He has kept me company every day since I started working from home after the pandemic hit. He is a lab/hound mix, which helped us decide his name - of course I thought of Elvis Presley’s song “Hound Dog,” and I thought Presley would be a cute name for him. He has become a special member of our family and we love him so!
