Pet's Story
Amber is my emotional support hamster. After being forced from her last home by the landlord’s no animals policy, I gladly took her in.

Amber travels with me from Connecticut to my school, Elon University, in North Carolina. She has quite the personality where she believes she is matriarch of the household where our family pets — including a cat and dog — are terrified of her. Amber, fearless as always, loves to play the game “tag” in her ball and has gotten into the habit of climbing on my shoulder so she can use my back as a slide.

I never imagined owning a hamster, but now I can’t imagine myself being without her.
