Bam
Pet's Story
One day while surfing the web, we came across the picture and profile of an adorable little chi named Bam who was living at the New Fairfield/Sherman Animal Welfare shelter. Even though he was an older gentleman with a heart condition, the amazing NFSAW staff and volunteers never gave up on Bam. Not only had they rescued him after he was abandoned, they provided loving care to Bam for over two years.
We decided to visit the shelter to meet this special little guy. Although it was love at first sight for us, we could see that Bam was happy at the shelter and wondered if he would feel equally as comfortable coming to live with us and our menagerie. Over the next few months, we brought our pups to visit Bam at the shelter and Bam visited our home. Patience and perseverance were followed by success. Bam officially became part of our family and now has three sisters [pups] and two brothers [kitties] that he loves. We love him dearly!
If adopting, remember to consider dogs and cats that are a bit older or might have a few challenges. They still have so much love to give. Thank you NFSAW for saving our little guy Bam.
