Tell us why your pet is the best ambassador for the North Country Animal League's Rescue Brew Beer (from your pet’s perspective)Old Dirty Bastard (Odie) & Mass Spectrometer (Spec) are bonded brothers who I only meant to foster but then my son named them within minutes of being in the house. I could not separate them so they both stayed. And now that I have experienced adopting two kitties at once, I'd never just adopt a singleton. They are rascals and always into something. They are constantly loving on their big bro Scout, our 9 year old mixed breed rescue, and sleep with him every night. I've learned to just stay in bed when I hear all the commotion and noises at night - I'll just see what they got into in the morning! It's been fun to watch their separate personalities evolve. They both love being handled, but Odie purrs at the slightest touch, where it takes a bit more to get Spec's motor running. Odie prefers to sleep next to you but Spec wants to be on you. Neither are particularly vocal yet: Odie trills a bit and once in awhile I actually hear a small meow out of Spec. They take turns being the aggressor in their frequent brotherly tussles. Nothing is safe - they push things off dressers and tables, the piano and desks, and trot off with anything, including my glasses if I leave them bedside. There's also no privacy - they want to be with you wherever and whatever you're doing. The bathroom and shower are especially popular spots. They definitely have an issue with tissue: tissue boxes and toilet paper are prime targets! I give a lot of credit to Sarah Grunwell who fostered them for NCAL before us. She did a great job!
